Thursday, 26 May 2016 Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to lead sit-in in Lahore on June 17 Pakistan Awami Tehreek has decided to stage a sit-in on June 17 at the Mall Road Lahore. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will lead the sit-in. Announcement to this effect was made by PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur while addressing a press conference at the central secretariat here in Lahore on May 26 along with other members of the Core Committee. Monday, 9 May 2016 PAT holds demonstration for justice in front of anti-terrorism court Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held a demonstration in front of the anti-terrorism court to seek justice for Model Town martyrs. Senior leaders and workers including women attended the demonstration in large number. Addressing the participants of the demonstration, Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja said that we would fight the legal battle and take to the streets as well for justice in Model Town case. They chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. The demonstration led by Hafiz Ghulam Farid was attended by a large number of women. Tuesday, 23 February 2016 Keys of double-storey house handed over to father of Shaheed Muhammad Umar On behalf of PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the keys of a double storey house were handed over to Mian Muhammad Siddique, the father of Muhammad Umar Siddique yesterday. It is pertinent to mention here that Muhammad Umar Siddique was martyred on June 17, 2014 in Model Town tragedy in Lahore. Thursday, 7 January 2016 Model Town case should be transferred to other judge: PAT lawyers file petition Rai Bashir Advocate and Mian Faiz Ali, heads of PAT lawyers’ team, have decided to file three petitions against rejection of legal applications by the anti-terrorism court. Rai Bashir Advocate said that bias and partiality of the anti-terrorism court has come out in the open. He said that our applications that were filed under 265 C and Section 234 C for transfer of case have been rejected and we are going to file three petitions in the Lahore High Court against the controversial rulings of the anti-terrorism court.... Monday, 4 January 2016 I am determined to get justice for martyrs of Model Town tragedy: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri Addressing a heavily crowded press conference in the central secretariat of PAT along with family members of the martyrs, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he is completely fit and would not budge an inch from his stated position unless he takes revenge for the martyrs.
